Just a quick note to all of the fans…
Tomorrow morning I begin filming on “How To Make It In America”, a new series for HBO that is being produced by Mark Walhberg. The series will air sometime February 2010 and is already being described as the new East Coast “Entourage” with lots of Latino flavor. So say a prayer that all goes well for me tomorrow and that the show becomes a hit. There’s nothing I would love more right now than to be series regular on an HBO project. Latinos take notice, we’re stepping up the game! Thanks for your support!

The Holocaust Kid
by Phil on Oct.05, 2008, under News
(NEW YORK, NY) In what critics are describing as a tour de force performance, Eddie Marrero must be feeling pretty wonderful right now following his brilliant and amazing work in Sonia Pilcer’s new play “The Holocaust Kid” which had its premiere last night at The Marjorie S. Dean Little Theater in NYC. Making the evening all the more amazing was the fact that Marrero was literally cast in the role just 24 hours earlier, replacing an actor who backed out at the last minute. In what he described as “one of most mind challenging and adrenalin rushing experiences an actor can have”, he stepped onto the stage following a mere 6 hours of intense rehearsal, proving yet again this actor’s discipline, skill, and talent.

CBS Breaking Ground, First Latino Hosts Letterman
by Eddie on May.04, 2005, under News
In an unprecedented move during sweepweeks by CBS Network Television and Worldwide Pants Productions, Eddie Marrero became the first Latino performer to appear on the legendarty late night talk show as a Host, dubbing him the “Spanish Letterman” of Late Night.
The move came as a total shock and surprise to Marrero who thought his agent was initially joking with him upon receiving the call. It took some convincing on the part of of his agent who spent the better part of 10 minutes explaining that this was no joke. “I remember saying to myself when I first heard the news, …Letterman wants to see?” This has got be a joke” recalls Marrero. But sure enough the reality that this was no joke quickly set in when he was immediately whisked away into rehearsals and onto the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theater where the show would be taped live within a few hours. On May 4, 2005 Eddie Marrero made television history becoming the first Latino to appear on Late Show with David Letterman as a Host.
