2018 WELCOME TO ME

Happy New year! And welcome to my new blog and this first post of 2018. Reflecting back on the year prior, it was a year of radical and transformative change for me. I accomplished so many goals and grew in ways I never thought possible. I lost 100 lbs, got into amateur boxing, achieved the best health of my adult life, moved out of New York, settled in a new State, traveled a lot around the country, met some amazing people; I even started dating again after three years of grieving and therapy following the loss of my husband, and I finally returned to performing. It was a long and painful crawl back to life but I am grateful for every lesson learned and individuals who supported and motivated me along the way.

Thank you to my therapist who over the last three years has helped me keep it together, without judgements and without meds. So glad I found you when I did.

Thank you to my Boxing Trainer and longtime childhood friend Lennard "Action" Jackson, for whipping me into the best shape of my life. Your dedication to helping me achieve my goals and constant motivation transformed me not only physically but mentally and spiritually. You gave me confidence and taught me how to harness my power physically and mentally to be able to throw "bullets and grenades" all day long.

Thank you to my longtime friend, brother, and producing partner Bert Price. You are a musical force to be reckoned with. Thank you for giving me the space and time I needed to reset, and for recognizing when it was time to step back into ring musically. Your insight, support, love, and motivation are truly appreciated. You inspire me to grow as a musician and performer. Thank you!

Thank you to so many of my friends who are my family and who were there for me over the course of these past three years. There are too many of you to name. But I sincerely thank each and everyone of you who showed me love with every post, like, call, text, dinner, gathering, cocktail, party, laugh, venting session, and shoulder to cry on. No words can sum up the gratitude I feel inside.

I started 2017 feeling renewed, and with a new album Timeless Christmas, a work I am incredibly proud of; and completed 2017 with my return to the stage in a Live Concert performance of the same album. It was a year of amazing blessings, growth and gratitude and I am forever humbled by the journey and love I have received from so many people far and wide, known and unknown.

I go into 2018 feeling excited over the future and the many blessings that await me. I am not the same person I was a year ago, a minute ago, or 10 seconds ago. With each passing moment I am evolving into God's perfect promise for me and therefore rededicate my purpose and myself to live my best life, fully activating the gifts God has endowed in me. I go into 2018 with a sense of urgency and expectancy to succeed in all the best possible ways the creator and universe have put into action, and I invite you to come along for the journey.

It is because of each and everyone of you I am able to stand here today in 2018! Thank you all!
